He brings years of experience in leadership, business (25 + years), architect (Planning and Zoning, youth coach, varsity football coach (Nampa Christian), church member, husband (30+ years) and father. I became familiar with Randy thru his wife Laurie, who was the leader of a women’s Bible study at the First Church of the Nazarene in Nampa, Idaho. During a conversation about a non-profit organization I founded in 2013, Randy offered to serve as our architect and design building plans for a home for adult cancer patients who needed to travel from rural Idaho to the Treasure Valley to receive life-saving cancer treatment.
Most recently, I received support from Randy and the other board members with their approval of a serious safety issue facing my subdivision. If I recall correctly, Randy stepped forward with a solution everyone liked. Randy consistently demonstrates “NAMPA PROUD” as well as being the wonderful man married to Laurie Haverfield.
This Letter of Endorsement is my personal support for Randy Haverfield’s re-election to serve my fellow citizens as our city council member.

Randy Haverfield is that kind of leader.
I’ve had the honor of calling Randy my coach, my mentor, and my friend. As Head Football Coach at Nampa Christian Schools, he poured into the lives of young men—myself included—with dedication, integrity, and heart. He didn’t just coach football—he built character and inspired purpose.
Randy has brought that same servant leadership to the Nampa City Council, where he served as Council President. Randy is a Nampa business owner who understands this City, what makes us special and has a vested interest in preserving what we have here. With a steady hand and a deep commitment to our community, he has led with wisdom and experience through times of growth and challenge. Randy stood with strength, character, and principle, by voting to reject taking foregone taxes – to provide much needed relief to Nampa taxpayers. I am enthusiastically endorsing Randy Haverfield for the position of Nampa City Councilor for District 5.
I have known Randy since moving to Nampa in 2008. I have known him as a churchman, a talented and successful architect (my home, NNU Library).
Most importantly here, I have known him for his very significant service to the Citizens of Nampa through his tireless service as a member of the Nampa City Council for twelve years. I’ve attended many Council meetings in support of some the committees I’ve participated in. Many of these meetings adjourn after 11:00 PM or later. For those of you who watch closely, you know this is a demanding service.
Randy’s judgement and motivation always point to “What is best for Nampa” and its citizens. His broad service, including Nampa Development Corporation, Nampa Planning and Zoning Commission, Nampa Design Review Commission and others provide a context of broad awareness which is required when complex decisions are considered.
We do not always have the privilege or ability to vote for high integrity, wise, experienced Leadership. This time, we DO have that choice.
Join me in voting “Yes” for Randy Haverfield for Nampa City Council, District 5.
